What is domestic abuse?
Domestic abuse can be witnessing one person mistreating another, being cruel, violent, threatening, controlling and/or insulting. This can occur within the home or within your own relationships, for example in your dating relationships.
Impact of domestic abuse on young people
- Self harm

- Disruption at school
- Behaviour problems
- Problems making and keeping healthy relationships, for example in your sexual relationships
- Using alcohol or drugs
