How we can help you

We provide support, advice and information for women, children, young people and families who have been affected by domestic abuse.

If you are experiencing any form of abuse you can call the GEWA crisis line on 0141 773 3533, or come along to the drop-in service at GEWA during our opening hours: Monday & Friday, 9:30am to 1:30pm, and Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, 9:30am to 3:30pm.
If you are unsure if we can help you, you can come along to our drop-in service or contact GEWA by phone, email or via the website. We also have a Frequently Asked Questions section that answers your questions about domestic abuse and what to expect from GEWA.

Support and Refuge

Our motto is: ‘women helping women helping women’. We provide one to one counselling, support and refuge if needed. Any woman can get support whether or not accommodation is needed.

We also run support groups for women who are currently being or have been abused by their partner or ex-partner. Support groups are self help groups which meet on a regular basis to enable women to recover from their experiences of abuse.

We can also provide advocacy support for women, and access to legal advice if needed.
